SES Batteries was founded in 1991 in Ambala Cantt, Haryana — a city with a strong connection to India’s defence establishment and a growing industrial ecosystem. We began as Sealed Energy Systems with a clear purpose: to build reliable battery solutions in India to globally benchmarked standards of quality and engineering.
The first decade was about building the foundation — processes, people, manufacturing discipline, and a culture of getting things
right before scaling them. Over the years, that foundation earned SES the trust of customers in applications where battery reliability is critical, including defence, industrial equipment, and healthcare.

At our Ambala Cantt facility, every battery pack follows a disciplined engineering and manufacturing process — from cell selection and batch verification through precision assembly, BMS configuration, protection-circuit validation, testing, and final quality clearance.
We work across various cell formats, developing battery solutions around the electrical, mechanical, safety, communication, and operating requirements of the equipment they power. Core pack engineering, assembly, BMS configuration, testing, and final validation are carried out in-house. Before a battery pack is released for production or dispatch, its performance is validated against the intended application and load conditions.
For SES, reliability is not established by specification alone — it is engineered, tested, and verified before the battery reaches the customer.
