Our Quality Commitment

At SES Batteries, quality is not a department. It is woven into every stage of what we do, from the cell batches we accept to the packs we sign off before dispatch.

We operate to IEC 62133 standards, which cover safety requirements for portable sealed secondary lithium cells and batteries. Our documentation is structured to support CE and FDA compliance requirements for our medical OEM customers. Our processes follow ISO-aligned quality management principles, which are documented, auditable, and consistently applied.

Our Quality Process

Our quality process is not a single checkpoint — it is a sequence of verifications that runs from raw cell inspection through final pack dispatch. Each stage is documented, repeatable, and auditable.

Incoming Cell Verification

No cell enters our assembly line without batch testing. We verify capacity, internal resistance, and self-discharge rates. Cells that do not meet our threshold do not make it in, regardless of supplier documentation.

Assembly Environment Control

Our assembly area is maintained to the standards appropriate for the packs we build. For medical-grade packs, environment controls are tighter. For standard OEM packs, our baseline is already higher than the industry norm.

BMS Configuration and Testing

Every battery management system is configured and tested for the specific pack it is assigned to. We validate overcharge, over-discharge, short-circuit, and thermal protection for every configuration. We do not reuse a BMS setting without re-verification.

Pack-Level QC

Each completed pack is tested for capacity, voltage output, protection circuit response, and communication protocol accuracy before it is cleared for dispatch. We maintain traceability records for every batch.

Long Cycle Life Validation

For medical and critical OEM applications, we conduct cycle life testing to validate that the pack's real-world performance matches its specification. We do not ship a battery whose long-term behaviour we have not verified.
