A Standard Smart Battery is a pre-engineered, commercially available battery pack with integrated electronics that provide power, battery monitoring, protection, and communication. Unlike a custom battery, it is designed as an off-the-shelf solution that can be integrated into multiple products without requiring a new battery design.

The primary purpose is to reduce product development time and simplify battery integration by providing a battery that is already designed, tested, and validated. Instead of designing a battery pack from scratch, an OEM can select a standard smart battery and focus on developing their product.
